The Residential Summit is a fully funded, once-in-a-lifetime trip, that brings together the Rise Global Winners from their cohort, for an invaluable in-person showcase to discuss initiatives that work towards solving humanity’s most pressing problems.
the challenge
The client and one of mcm’s partner agencies required support managing logistics for the 100 winners plus support staff from 48 different countries across two cities and multiple venues. The objective of the Summit was to showcase the power of young innovators to drive transformational change, enabling participants to form essential collaborations and mentorships through global networking. Our remit included everything from ground transport, catering, H&S, activities and the excursions.
the result
mcm covered all logistics, including ground transfers – to and from airports, between Oxford and London event locations, between multiple venues and for all excursions. This also included catering at the residential venues, conference venues and offsite locations to suit the various cultures of the attendees.
Many successful offsite activities, excursions and tours were arranged during the week, including Blenheim Palace, a Thames boat cruise, a punting trip and studio tours. We organised ‘Union Track’ days where winners were split into sub-groups to experience the UK in different ways.
A special opening and closing ceremony was hosted for the winners, including stage and show management run by mcm. This involved responsibility for health & safety, supply of support staff and hosts, and photography & videography.
